    Refinement of H62 Brass by Constrained Groove Pressing

    • H62 brass was refined by constrained groove pressing (CGP).The influences of the alloy componsition,annealing temperature and strain passes on CGP processing were studied.The effect of the strain passes on the mechanical properties and microstructure was examined.It is advantageous for the CGP processing if H62 brass is annealed at 470 ℃ for one hour.With the increasing of CGP passes,the grains are refined,and the strength and hardness are increased.The hardness is enhanced from 89 HV to 180 HV,and the yield strength is increased from 130 MPa to 450 MPa after 8 CGP passes.
