Hydrothermal Synthesis and Characterization of CeO2/ATP Nanocomposite
-
Abstract
CeO2/ATP (attapulgite) nanocomposites with different contents were prepared by hydrothermal method using ATP with large specific surface area as supporter and Ce(NO3)3 as Ce source. The effects of temperature and time of hydrothermal reaction on the microstructure and morphology of the composite were investigated by means of XRD and TEM.The results show that the optimal CeO2/ATP nanocomposites could be obtained under the conditions of the hydrothermal reaction temperature 80℃ and reaction time 72 h.The composite with 42.8wt% CeO2 had the largest specific surface area up to 235.4 m2·g-1 and the fine surface CeO2 particles distributed well, and thus had better catalytic and oxidation effects to CO than the composite with common CeO2.
