    Effect of Pack Parameters on Density of SiC Coating on Carbon/Carbon Composites Surface

    • In order to study the effect of pack parameters including pack temperature(A),pack time(B),additiveⅠ content (C),additive Ⅱ content (D) and silicon content(E) on the density of SiC coating,SiC coating was prepared under different pack conditions as designed by orthogonal experiment on the surface of carbon/carbon(C/C) composites.The results show that the influencing levels of the five pack parameters were as followings: A,C,E,D,B.In comparision with the porous SiC coating prepared under the conditions of A1B1C1D1E1,the SiC coating prepared under the conditions of A3B2C4D2E4 had a denser microstructure which could protect C/C composites from oxidation for more than 10 h at 1 500 ℃ in air.
