Sulfide Stress Corrosion Cracking Susceptibility of 20 Steel in Different Medias

    • The stress corrosion cracking (SCC) behavior of 20 steel in different medias, which were mixed solution containing CH3COOH, NaCl and Na2S2O3, was studied by slow strain rate tests (SSRT), and the effects of pH, Cl- and S2O32- on SCC of the steel. The results show that CH3COOH, NaCl and Na2S2O3 could accerelate SCC of 20 steel and they also had synergetic effect. 20 steel had the highest cracking sensitivity in solultion of 10-3mol·L-1 Na2S2O3+5%NaCl +0.5% CH3COOH.
