    Numerical Simulation of Temperature Field in Hot Rolling Process of Extra-thick Plates of 2124 Aluminum Alloy

    • Based on the results of the thermal simulation test on Gleeble-1500,the material database of 2124 aluminum alloy was developed and used in Marc finite element software.The temperature field distribution and changing discipline of the 2124 aluminum alloy plate in the whole hot rolling process were studied with the aid of two dimensional elastic-plastic and large deformation finite element method,using general software Marc.The results indicated that the plate surface temperature changed sharply during the rolling process,but the temperature of plate core changed slowly.The calculated plate surface temperature was in agreement with that of the measured.
