Oxide Dispersion Strengthening Nickel-Based Superalloy Prepared by Supersolidus Liquid Phase Sintering

Abstract
Oxide dispersion strengthening(ODS) nickel-based superalloys with different contents of nano Y2O3 (0-8wt%) were prepared by supersolidus liquid phase sintering method. The effects of sintering temperature and Y2O3 content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy were studied. The results show that the alloy with 1.5wt% Y2O3 sintered at 1 265 ℃ for 2 h had optimal comprehensive properties, that the relative density was 98.13%, tensile strength was 770 MPa. The relative density of the alloy could be improved further by following hot isostatic pressing process, tensile strength could be increased to 838 MPa.
