    Gradient Microstructure and Processing of TiC-reinforced Ni-alloy Extraordinary Thick Composite Coating

    • A functional gradient TiC/Ni alloy extraordinary thick composite coating was produced by one step plasma cladding with multi-layer pre-placed on carbon steel substrate.The resultes show from the bottom to the top of the cladded coating,TiC particles exhibite a continuous increase both in size and in volume fraction,their morphology changes from small globe to coarse flower-like cluster.The Vickers microhardness of the clad layer exhibite a continuous increase.
