Elevated Temperature Tensile Ductility of As-forged Super Duplex Stainless Steel
-
Abstract
The tensile properties at 900-1 300 ℃,as well as the deformed microstructure of the as-forged 00Cr25Ni7Mo4N super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) have been studied by thermo-mechanical simulator. The effect of temperature on the ductility of this steel is very obvious. The reduction in area (RA) of the as-forged SDSS is 70% at temperature of 1 200 ℃,and the alloy exhibited good ductility at 1 100-1 200 ℃.When the temperature is beyond 1 200 ℃,however, the hot ductility dropped remarkably. Moreover, high temperature solid solution treatment significantly influence the hot ductility of the as-forged SDSS.The hot ductility increase when the solid solution treatment temperature was 1 100℃.
