Preparation of Porous Nickel Metal by Jet Electrodeposition

Abstract
Porous nickel metal was prepared by jet electrodeposition metrod using DC power under different processing parameters.Microstructure of the prepared porous nickel was studied by SEM and HRTEM.Effects of jet parameters on the deposition rate,surface morphology and porousity were stadied.The results show that when the current density was 500 A·dm-2 and the distance between nozzle and cathode was 20 mm,with the increase of jet folw,the deposition rate and porosity distribution uniformity decreased,but porousity increasd.When the jet flow was 100 L·h-1,dense and unform porous nickel metal could be prouced with porosity of 70.1%.With the increase of jet flow,the deposit surface tended to smooth and grain refine obviously,but crystalline morphology had no significant changes.
