Texture of Hot Rolled Fe-3%Si Steel Plate Produced by Thin Slab Casting and Rolling in Laboratory

Abstract
Hot rolled Fe-3%Si steel plate was produced by thin slab continuons casting and rolling process in laboratory. The microstructure and texture of hot rolled plates with different total reductions and rolling schedules were analyzed using EBSD and X-ray diffraction. The change rule of the texture density along α, ε and γ fibers was analyzed. The results show that when the hot rolled total reduction increased from 82.9% to 97.1%, the gradient of microstructure and texture for the plate with A composition occured at the surface and center, 001〈110〉 orientation was strengthened, and then changed to 110〈001〉 and 112〈111〉. The texture distribution with different reduction schedules for plate with B composition was basically similar, while the Goss texture orientation density and volume fraction for sample B1 were higher. The hot rolling reduction schedule of C1 was effective to the formation of Goss texture.
