    Comparison of Properties for Several Typical Hot Die Steels

    • High temperature compressive test,impact test and thermal stability test were carried out with five kinds of typical hot die steels such as H21,H11,H13,DM and Germany grade 1.2367 by using thermal simulator,box type resistance furnace and impact testing machine respectively.Mechanical property characteristics of different materials were studied.The results show that the patented DM steel and 1.2367 steel had small and homogeneous microstructure after quenching and tempering,granular carbides were distributed dispersively on the martensite matrix.DM and H21 steels had better thermal stability than H11,H13 and 1.2367,however,the tempering resistance of 1.2367 steel was better than that of H11 and H13 steels.1.2367 and DM steels had high hardness and better impact toughness,better high-temperature compressive property,compared with traditional high hot-strength hot die steels.
