Effects of Surface Modification on Mechanical Properties of Sisal Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene Composites

  • In order to improve the adhesiveness between sisal fiber and polypropylene,several methods of surface modification were studied.Scanning electron microscopy,infrared spectrum and X-ray diffraction were used to observe the difference after modification.The results show that surface modification can effectively increase the adhesiveness and thus improre the mechanical behavior of composites.
