Automatic Restoration Capability for Wear of Nano-TiO2

Abstract
In order to study the automatic restoration action for wear of nano-TiO2 and the influence of frictional condition on automatic restoration,the repairing action to worn steel surface of nano-TiO2 as an addtive in 350SN oil was tested using an HQ-1 wear machine.The influence of load and slide velocity on automatic restoration capability was also studied.And the automatic restoration effect was evaluated by the changes of mass and roughness.The results show that nano-TiO2 has an obvious effect on repairing,and the roughness is reduced by 1026%,and its automatic restoration capability is influenced by load,time and slide velocity.
