Fabrication and Performance Evaluation of Functionally Graded Materials

Functionally graded material (FGM) is one of the advanced materials because its composition and structure show a continuous change.The fabrication and performance evaluation of FGM are more important for the optimum design .In this paper,the fabricating methods and the latest performance evaluation of mechanical properties,thermal shock,compression and heat treatment for FGM are discussed in detail.The developing directions of the fabrication and performance evaluation of FGM are analyzed.
