Effects of Surface Texture of Strip Continuous Casting Rollers on Interfacial Heat Transfer

    • The effect of the surface texture of Cu roller used for strip continuous casting on interfacial heat transfer was studied by interfacial heat flux measurement system, which was individually developed by Baosteel, and then built the interfacial heat transfer model. The results show that the more the contact area between roller surface and molten steel, the more the interfacial peak heat flux, and the average heat flux of three kinds of rollers had little differences. The interfacial heat transfer model could predict the effect of surface texture of rollers on interfacial heat transfer fairly good.
