Effect of Excesive Bi2O3 on Anisotropic Microstructure of Bi4Ti3O12 Powder Prepared by Molten Salt Method

  • Flaky Bi4Ti3O12 powder with anisotropy was prepared by NaCl-KCl molten salt method.The effect of excessive Bi2O3 on microstructure and dielectric properties of Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics was investigated.The Bi4Ti3O12 particle size and the degree of anisotropy increased with increasing excessive Bi2O3 quantity.The Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics with flaky grains were prepared by sintering at 1 100 ℃.The insulation resistivity of Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics decreased.The dielectric constant had the largest value as excessive quantity of Bi2O3 was 5%,and dielectric loss decreased with increasing excessive Bi2O3 quantity.
