Influences of Concentration,Temperature and Strain Rate on Stress Corrosion Cracking of 316L Stainless Steel in Alkali Solution at High Temperature

Abstract
Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) behavior of 316L stainless steel in NaOH solutions with different concentrations was investigated by using tension test at different strain rates and temperatures. And the effects of above three factors on stress corrosion cracking were analyzed. The results show that at the strain rate of 10-5 s-1,SCC of 316L stainless steel was not obvious, while the strain rate decreased to 10-6 s-1,SCC of 316L stainless steel in alkali solution at high temperature was remarkable.Effect of temperature of NaOH solution on SCC of 316L steel was more remarkable than solution concentration at 10-6 s-1.
