A Quantitative Analysis about Fund Sponsored Theses and Their Authors Published in Materials for Mechanical Engineering

With the method of documentary metrology,fund sponsored theses and their authors published in Materials for Mechanical Engineering journal during 2005-2009 were studied and quantificationally analyzed.The results show that 846 fund sponsored theses were published in 5 years of Materials for Mechanical Engineering journal,and the rate of funding covered 58.35% of every year was far above the rate of funding covered 42.93% of the same journal during 1997-2004.The authors of the fund sponsored theses distributed widely,whose institutions were main university.
