Abstract
The nano-composite Ti(C,N)-based cermets were produced by vacuum pre-sintering and post-hot isostatic pressing technology. The influence of pre-sintering temperature on the microstructure and properties of nano-composite Ti(C,N)-based cermets has been studied using SEM,TEM and EDX.With the increase of pre-sintering temperature, the grains were spheroidized gradually and distributed evenly, the size of grains decreased, the small grains with inner-rim and outer-rim and white core-gray hull increased greatly and the rim phase was complete. For the nano-composite cermets sintered at 1 420 ℃,it could acquire satisfied microstructure and good properties. When the pre-sintering temperature increased further, the crystalline began to grow, the rim phase became wider and the properties of cermets decreased. The optimal pre-sintering temperature of nano-composite Ti(C,N)-based cermets was 1 420 ℃.
