Research Progress on Fatigue Life of Notched Components

It is summaried briefly that composition of fatigue life for notched components, define of notch fatigue crack initiation size, local stress estimate method of notch fatigue life, main factors affected initiation life Ni, research status of fatigue life for notch and fatigue crack initiation life for sharp notch. A new descriptive parameter ΔK/ρ1/2 for initiation life Ni and a method to estimate Ni are introduced.
