Oriented Cutting (001) and (011) Crystalline Planes of Nickel-base Single Crystal Superalloy

In order to cut and obtain accurate different orientation Ni-base single crystal superalloys,a method based on an accurate determination of orientation of single crystal superalloy with a conventional diffractometer by asymmetrical X-ray scanning mode was developed,and then oriented cutting (001) and (011) crystalline planes of the alloy was carried out on the base of accurrate orientation of 001 and 011.The results show that (001) and (011) crystal planes were successfully cut,the deviation angle of (001) crystal plane and (011) crystal plane from the sample surface after oriented cutting were 0.4° and 0.1°,respectively.
