    Elimination of Banded Structure Defects in Hot-Rolled SNCM 220 Steel Plates

    • In order to eliminate the banded structure defects in hot-rolled SNCM 220 steel plates,the effects of improvement measures such as dynamic soft reduction technology,increasing the plate heating temperature and decreasing the crimping temperature on the microstructure during continuous casting of the plate slab were investigated.The results show that under the existing condition,using the above three measurements could prevent the formation of the pro-eutectoid ferrite and improve the transformation from the austenite to bainite in the plate,and thus could effectively eliminate the banded structure defects.
