Finite Element Analysis in Pulling Process of Different Technics of Beryllium Bronze Tubing

    • In virtue of large-scale nonlinear finite element software, finite element method of two-dimensional axial symmetry of elasticity and plasticity was used to simulate diversification of stress and strain in drawing process of beryllium bronze tubing, and actual machining quality problems were analyzed. The axial residual stress of the beryllium bronze tubing was relatively big after hollow drawing. The tubing outside of axial direction had a high tensile stress, and the inside had a high compression stress.Correspondingly residual stress of tubing was less after the fixed short rod of beryllium bronze tubing was pulled out.Equivalent strain and equivalent stress showed a mild change in process of drawing the fixed short rod of beryllium bronze tubing.Deformation of tubing was rather even. The distribution of equivalent strain and equivalent stress was asymmetric after hollow drawing. These show that the quality and precision of beryllium bronze tubing produced by the fixed short rod pulling are relatively good and to be more reasonally used.
