    Effect of Rotating Electromagnetic Field in Solidification on Corrosion Property of Cu-Zn Alloy

    • The rotating electromagnetic field (REF) was applied to the Cu-Zn alloy solidification in smelting process. The effects of REF on the corrosion resistance and microstructure of cast Cu-Zn alloy were investigated by the electrochemical corrosion test and optical microscopy. The result show that the grains of the Cu-Zn alloy with REF became smaller, denser and evenly distributed compared with the Cu-Zn alloy without REF. The corrosion resistance of Cu-Zn alloy with REF was better than that of the Cu-Zn alloy without REF.
