Abstract
Based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) treated by NaOH solution and mixture acid of concentratedsulfuricacid and concentrated nitric acid, MWNTs/indium oxide composite powders were prepared by co-deposition method and followed heat treatment, and phase and morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. The results show that there are many oxygenated functional groups on MWNTs surface after it was treated by NaOH solution and mixture acid, and specific surface area of MWNTs was increased significantly. Furthermore, MWNTs could load indium oxide nanoparticles after the MWNTs/indium hydroxide precursor was calcined and the effect was best after the precursor was calcined at 450 ℃, and indium oxide nanoparticles with diameter of 20-30 nm were coated on MWNTs surface.
