  • Several current life prediction methods and models for high temperature pressure pipes in thermal power plants were introduced, including persistent strength method, time parameter exptrapolation method,θ method and θ method of amendment, gradual extrapolation method based on creep curves and creep damage method. The reliability of these methods was deeply discussed. Then application conditions and brief commentaries to these methods were given. Finally, several technical problems about life prediction of the high temperature pressure pipes were analyzed and predicted.
