    Wear Resistance of Al-10Cr Alloys Prepared by Solid-liquid Mixed Casting Process

    • A new technology of solid-liquid mixed casting process was taken to prepare Al-10Cr alloys.The microstructure and wear resistance of Al-10Cr alloys were studied.A fairly fine,uniformly distributed and spherical shape precipitated phase could be obtained by solid-liquid mixed casting process.The wear resistance of the as cast alloys was superior to that of alloys with conventional casting and semi-solid casting processes.When the powder size ranged in 74-175 μm and the weight ratio of alloy powder to the melt in solid-liquid mixed casting process was 0.4,the wear rate was the lowest.The abrasion mechanism of the dry sliding friction was principally particle wearing at room temperature and the combination of adhesion wearing and particle wearing at high temperature.
