    Preparation and Properties of Anti-oxidation and Decarbonization Coating for Spring Steel

    • A kind of anti-oxidation and decarbonization coating for spring steel was developed at high temperatures.The properties of decarbonizaion and oxidation resistance at high temperatures of the coating were investigated through optical microscopy,microhardness tester,SEM and DTA.The results indicate that after the anti-oxidation and decarbonization coating was prepared on the spring steel,the coating could drop naturelly after heated at 960℃ for 40 min,the matrix surface was smooth and bright.The coating could decrease the oxidation burning loss from 2.39% to 0.8% which was down by 70%,the main element contents on the steel surface were not change,and the decarbonization thickness alleviate from 119 μm to 7 μm which was down by 90%.The coating could effectively prevent the oxidation and decarbonization of the spring steel under 1 000℃.
