    Effect of ECAP on Mechanical Properties of GH696 Casted Alloy

    • In order to improve the mechanical properties of casted GH696 alloy,the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloy after deformation by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) at 1 000℃ and heat treatment were studied.The results show that the as-casted microstructure had been fined significantly by ECAP.Recrystallization of the alloy would occur after ECAP and followed heat treatment,and the increase of ECAP passes decreased the characteristic of as-casted microstructure gradually and improved the strength and plasticity.The strength and plasticity of the as-casted alloy made by ECAP reached that of as-forged alloy with the same heat treatment ,even if a few of characteristic of as-casted microstructure was remained.
