Effect of Interactions among Coating Components on Slag Detachability of 1Ni9 Steel Electrodes

Abstract
The formulas of electrodes were designed according to the uniform design method to quantify the effect of coating components on the slag detachability of 1Ni9 steel electrodes.The quantitative analysis was carried on the slag detachability of the electrodes by using the statistical software SAS.The square regression analysis was completed by taken the mass fraction of eight types of coating components,such as carbonate,as independent variables,and the contents of feldspars and mica as fixed values.The results show that at the range of selected component,the effects of majority coating components on the slag detachability are shown up in the form of interaction.It is favorable to improving the slag detachability of electrodes by increasing the contents of ferro-silicon and ferro-titanium.The slag detachability decreases with the increase of the content of carbonate or rutile.And with the increase of the content of fluorite or titanium pigment,the slag detachability of the electrodes first increases and then decreases.Other components have no obvious effect on the slag detachability.
