    Preparation and Characteristics of Improved Silicate Adhesive

      Abstract
    • An improved silicate adhesive was prepared by controlling pH value of glue solutions and using K2Ti6O13 whisker as modifier.Mechanical behavior and heat resistant properties of the improved adhesive were characterized by means of material testing machine(AG-250KNI) and thermal analyser (DTG-60H).Water-resistance and corrosiveness to steel of the adhesive were also evaluated by water dipping test and corrosion test.The results show that the adhesive had advantages such as stronger adhesive strength,better heat-resistance and higher water-resistance than other silicate adhesives,and it will not erode to steel.
