    Research Progress on New Cutting Tool Materials for Machining Titanium Alloys and Nickel Alloys

    • The research status of material types and properties of new cutting tool materials for machining titanium and nickel alloys is reviewed comprehensively. The tool wear and surface integrity caused by machining are introduced in detail, including coated and uncoated carbide tools, diamond tools,cubic boron nitride tools and ceramic tools. Moreover, the problems existing in the current study and future development trend are pointed out.
