Preparation of Nano-Cu Powders by Vibration Milling

The crude copper powders were processed in rolling vibration mill.The samples were analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction.The XRD results reveal that the lattice parameters,chemical constitution of the nano-Cu were the same as the crude copper powder,continuing to retain the face centered cubic lattice.The observation of SEM showed that the average diameter of the particles became less and less as time consuming and its granularity was gradually uniform.After grinding for 6 hours,the particle sizes were about 100 nm.
