Effect of Rolling Process on Rolled Sheet Surface Quality and Structure as well as Properties of Al-Fe Alloy Plate Blank Prepared by Electromagnetic Stirring and Solid-State Extrusion

    • The alloy plate blanks of Al-5%Fe-1.2%Si-1%Mg-0.6%Cu-0.5%Mn prepared by electromagnetic stirring and solid extrusion were rolled by different rolling processes, and their surface quality, microstructure and properties were studied. The results show that the surface quality of the alloy sheet was best when the rolling temperature was 460 ℃ and reduction in six passes was 2 mm; the crushing effect of iron-rich phase became better with the increase of the pass reduction; the iron-rich phase of the alloy sheet with 400 ℃ rolling temperature and 3 mm reduction in four passes had best spherical shape and smallest size, and tensile strength at room temperature and elongation of the alloy sheet reached 354.5 MPa and 7.6% respectively, and its heat stability at 200-300 ℃ was better.
