Effect of Annealing Technique and Speed Ratio on Micro-orientation in Cross Shear Rolled High Purity Aluminum Foils

    • The effect of annealing temperature on micro-orientation in cross shear rolled high purity aluminum foils was investigated by means of orientation distribution functions (ODFs).The strong rotated cube texture components 001〈110〉 and 102〈uvw〉 were formed and developed in cross shear rolled specimen.During the annealing of cross shear rolled specimen, there was a temperature threshold value for the formation and development of cube orientated grain and the value was inversely proportional to that of speed ratio. With increasing roll mismatch speed ratio, the threshold value decreased, which was related to deformation stored energy.Very strong cube texture could be obtained through the combination of suitable speed ratio, corresponding deformation and heat treatment.
