  • MoS2/Ni composite lubricating films were fabricated on stainless steel substrates by magnetron sputtering.The influence of interlayer diamond like carbon(DLC) film on MoS2/Ni films was studied and the mechanism of reducing friction was also introduced.The results of EDS and XRD tests showed that the composite films tended to be formed with the (002) crystal face parallel to the base level.Friction test showed that the friction coefficient of the composite film is between 0.06~0.18.The wear properties of the films were improved in the condition of heavy load and high rotating speed.It is also found that the hard interlayer could ulteriorly reduce the friction coefficient of composite lubricating film to about 0.04.
