Recrystallization Kinetics of Cold Compressed AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

Abstract
The cold compression of AZ31 Mg-base alloy was conducted and followed by annealing at different temperatures for different holding times.Microstructure evolution and kinetics of static recrystallization was studied.The results show that the relationship between annealing time and volume fraction of the static recrystallization can be described by the JMAK equation.The activation energy was calculated to be about 85.1 kJ·mol-1 preliminarily.And the time for static recrystallization completion at 300,350,400,450,500 ℃ was 1 599,380,112,40,16 min respectively.
