  • Novel nanostructural composites of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) coated with M-type barium ferrite had been one step in-situ synthesized by hydrothermal process.The functional groups of surface oxidized MWNTs were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).The phase composition and morphology of the composites were characterized by XRD and TEM.It is found that the BaFe12O19/MWNTs composites with a finely good ferrite coat could be gained in all the three experimental temperatures(140,160 and 180 ℃).The particle size of barium ferrite was 10-30 nm.With increase of the synthesis temperature,the ferrite particle size increased and its crystallinity improved.
