Friction and Wear Properties of Cu Matrix Composites Hybrid Reinforced with SiC and Graphite Particles

  • SiC and Graphite hybrid reinforced copper matrix composites were prepared by power metallurgy method.The friction and wear properties of the composite under different loads were studied,and then the wear mechanism was analyzed through observation of worn surface morphology.The results show that during the friction process,SiC particles played a good role in hard bearing as the main bearing fulcrum and graphite particles can result in a self-lubrication antifriction.The synergistic effect of SiC particles and graphite particles improved the wear resistance of the composite.Abrasive wear was the main wear mechanism of the composite.
