Microstructure and Properties of Hardfacing Metal of Carbonitride Alloyed Self-shielded Hardfacing Flux-cored Wire

    • The carbonitride alloyed self-shielded hardfacing flux-cored wire had been developed. The influence of the tempering temperature on hardness and wear-resisting property of hardfacing metal had been discussed. The hardness values of hardfacing metal are from 36.5 to 45.5 HRC,the microstructure of hardfacing metal consiste of lath-shaped martensite and carbonitride of Cr,Ti,V and Nb.These carbonitride is hard to be discomposed and had good stability and high temperature temper-resistant property. The hardness could reach the highest when the tempering temperature was 550 ℃ and the hardness is almost constant when the temperature is higher than 550 ℃.The weight loss of wear of carbonitride alloyed self-shielded hardfacing flux-cored wire is plastic grinding crack cut by abrasive particles and block desquamation temperature of carbonitride, and the hardfacing metal had good wear-resisting property in the tempering temperature range of 480-520 ℃.
