    Fatigue Life in Very High Cycle Range of 304 Stainless Steel

    • Fatigue behavior of 304 stainless steel was studied with the ultrasonic fatigue testing,and with scanning electron examination of the fatigue crack fracture surface.The curve of 304 stainless steel exhibites the stepwise shape and the platform appeares in teh range of 106-108 cycles.The stress of platform is about 200 MPa fatigue fracture of 304 stainless steel occurred above 108 cycles and below the stress platform.Most of the fatigue cracks initiated from the surface of specimen.
