    Current Carrying Friction and Wear Behaviors of Copper-10% Graphite Alloy

    • In order to improve the current carrying tribological properties of copper based alloys,copper based alloy with 10% graphite was prepared by powder metallurgy method. By using a self-made pin-disk tester,the tribological behaviors of the copper alloys were investigated under different current and electrical sliding condition. The results indicate that the friction coefficient and wear rates of the Cu-10% graphite alloy were decreased at different sliding speeds and currents compared with copper base alloy without graphite,and the wear resistance increased obviously. The friction coefficient was steady.
