    Preparation of a New Emulsion Containing Nano-WS2 Particulates and Its Tribological Characteristics

    • A new kind of emulsion containing nano-WS2 particulates used to lubricating hot die forging was successfully prepared in the way of compounding several kinds of surfactants. The stability, wettability and surface tension of emulsion were determined, the distribution stability of nano-WS2 particles in emulsions was analysed, as well as tribological characteristics of the emulsion were studied. The results show that compound of the surfactant could increase wettability and stable distribution time, and the the distribution of nano-WS2 was more even. The oil film strength and sintering load was respectively 1.7 and 2.5 times of that of the emulsion that without nano-WS2 particles, and the friction coefficients of friction pairs changed smoothly with the increase of time, and the diameter of worn spot was small and obvious furrows was not found.
