Hot Corrosion Behavior of Fe3Al Overlay at High Temperatures

Abstract
Overlaying welding was conducted on austenitic stainless steel A304 using gas arc tungsten welding process with Fe3Al as welding wire.NaCl-induced and Na2SO4-induced hot corrosion tests were conducted respectively at the temperatures of 750 ℃ and 950 ℃,Fe3Al overlay with some α-Fe solid solution could be acquired.NaCl-induced hot corrosion of Fe3Al overlay was much more severe than Na2SO4-induced corrosion.Fusion zone was most vulnerable place in both hot corrosion situation.
