Effect of Coupling Agent Treatment on Mechanical Properties of SiO2/CE Resin Composites
-
Abstract
Cyanate ester(CE) resin was modified by nanometer SiO2 which surface was treated with the small molecule coupling agent KH-560 and macromolecule coupling agent SEA-171 respectively. The influence of nanometer SiO2 content and coupling agents structure on the mechanical of nanometer SiO2/CE resin composites material was investigated. The results showed that both the impact strength and the flexural strength of the composites first increased then decreased with the increase of SiO2 content.Strengthening effect of nanometer SiO2 treated by macromolecule coupling agent was better than that treated by small molecule. When the SiO2 treated by macromdecule coupling agent content was 3%,strength of the composites reached the maximum with the impact strength of 15.99 kJ·m-2 and flexural strength of 147.55 MPa,which were 61.9% and 44.2% higher than that of pure CE respectively.
