The Mechanical Behavior of Powder Warm Compaction Process

    • The Fe-based powder warm compaction process was simulated by the finite element analysis software which is MSC/MARC.The thermal mechanically coupled analysis method based on the updated Lagrangian Method was applied to simulate this process, the mechanical behavior of warm compaction process was scudied. The results indicate that for cylindrical powder metallurgic products, pressing pressure, side pressure and ejecting force decrease with improving lubrication condition in the case of obtaining equivalent green density. At the same time distribution of green stress is more even, the stress concentration phenomenon of green edge is relaxed, this is favorable for improving green properties, especially mechanical properties.
