    Preparation of Large-Area Superhydrophilic/Superhydrophobic Aluminum Plate by Moving-Typed Cathode

    • A large-area superhydrophilic/superhydrophobic aluminum plate was prepared by moving-typed cathode based on the electrochemical machining and fluoridation technology. The morphology and composition of the aluminum plate surface were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and energy disperse spectroscopy, and the contact angle and roll angle were measured by a contact angle meter, respectively. The results show that it was feasible to prepare the large-area superhydrophilic/superhydrophobic aluminum plate by the moving-typed cathode, and the superhydrophilic aluminum plate surface with a binary micrometer-nanometer-scale rough structure was found after electrochemical machining, and the contact angle of the surface relative to water was 0°. This superhydrophilic surface could be turned into the superhydrophobic surface with a water contact angle of 167° and a roll angle less than 3° after fluoridation treatment.
