    • The current research status of the residual stress in plasma sprayed hydroxyapatite(HA) coatings is summarized.The effect of the residual stress on properties of the HA coatings and the formation cause of the residual stress are mainly analyzed.The effects of the spraying process,coating material and structure on the residual stress in the coating are discussed.The experimental techniques for the residual stress measurement are briefly described.Finally,the key point and the development trend on residual stress of HA coating are suggested.
