    Fe3O4 Nano-particles Prepared by Electron Bean Irradiation and Their Dispersion

    • Fe3O4 nano-particles were prepared successfully by electron beam(EB) irradiation at room temperature and ambient pressure and without any kind of catalysts.The component,size,morphology,optical properties and dispersion of the irradiated products were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscopg(TEM),ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-vis) and laser scattering particle size distribution analysis(LSPSDA).The results show that the average size of the nano-particles was estimated to be about 20 nm calculated by Scherer formula and the sizes of Fe3O4 nano-particles were ranged from 8 to 18 nm using nonidet P40,hexametaphosphate and ammoniumcitratethe as dispersive agents.
