Thermal Compression Deformation Behavior of 7B50 Aluminum Alloy
-
Abstract
The thermal compression deformation behavior of 7B50 aluminum alloy was investigated at the temperatures from 300 to 460 ℃ and strain rates from 0.001 to 1 s-1 on Gleeble-1500 thermal simulator. The results show that the flow stress decreased with increasing the deforming temperature and increased with increasing the strain rate during thermal compression deformation process. The flow stress of the alloy during thermal compression deformation could be described by the formula of Z parameter. Partial recystallization took place in the alloy deformed at higher deformation temperature or lower strain rate. The alloy showed significant dynamic recovery and recrystallization phenomena at 460 ℃ and strain rate of 0.1 s-1.
